He served as CFO in two larger corporations in Maldives for more than 6 years, and during his tenure helped transform their financial management. He has played a leading role in securing finance for some of the mega projects that were carried out in Maldives.
Most recently, Ali Shareef has been working with International funding agencies and Government of the Maldives as a Planning & Budget Specialist assisting the government in implementation of program-based budgeting in the public sector.
Ali Shareef also had also sits on the board of one of the leading Bank as the representative of Maldives Pension Administration Office (MPAO), and he had previously served as a member of the Board of Directors of MPAO itself.
